Jamtraxx Solutions Relaunch

December 22nd, 2010 1 Comments

I am sure everyone is wondering why an early launch since it was supposed to be on the 25th. Well, a few reasons. The Data center worked much faster than we originally anticipated. Even I can't wait for the launch and well, we are just opening the site but not really giving out what we are planning for. If you are hosted with us I am sure you would have noticed a few changes on your Cpanel.

Also, we have changed our pricing scheme where you can get as much as 40% discount. We have also changed our website currency to Peso. However, when you do get to the shopping cart, you will see it's in USD. You can simply use the combo-box on the top right of the cart and choose your desired currency.

We have more surprises for everyone, but that has to wait till the 25th.

Happy holidays!

Auto Update Your Copyright Footer

December 19th, 2010 0 Comments

The end of 2010 is fast approaching. Christmas carols, outside, people all over the mall buying gifts and what not. But for people who own websites like blogs and personal portfolio website, it is that time again to update our copyright information. This may not be as hard as your think if you are maintaining your personal site or maybe only a handful of sites. But if you are a web developer who makes a living making sites and keeping them up-to date, this is not the most easy thing to do.

Logging from Panel to Panel and editing the footer file can be boring and worse, if you did not do PHP Include, that would only make things worse since obviously, you would need to change all of the page's footers manually.

Now comes PHP. If you have a paid webhosting, or even free ones, there's a good chance PHP is installed on the server. PHP is a programming language that parses the PHP file(your website files) along with Apache web server. In PHP, there's a function called date() which returns the server's date. You can use this and place it on your copyright notice on your page and just forget about it afterwards. It will automatically update itself as it uses the machine date on the server.

Say you have this on your footer:

Our site is being coppied

November 20th, 2010 1 Comments

We have been made aware that another website, SOFTECHDIRECT is copying all of our content. We are doing all we can to combat this thieves and put them into court. Jamtraxx Solutions owns the contextual content of this domain and does not permit anyone to copy any of our images and contextual data posted on this website.

We will fully have this website closed soon. We have contacted another hosting company that is hosting their website and hopefully, we can get their website down ASAP. If said company will not comply, Jamtraxx Solutions will be forced to set this in court since SoftechDirect is also located in the Philippines.

Update:

The hosting company hosting their website brought their website down 12 hours after we caught them. We are still deliberating if we will take legal actions against the developers of Softech Systems. We have also sent an email to the owner of the said company but sadly, we have not received any response from their end.

Moving to a new server

December 12th, 2009 0 Comments

Hi,

Two weeks ago, there was a report that we were having DNS failures in some areas around the world. There were also issues that adding domains on the account only showed Cpanel. This was caused by the server not having enough space to run the cron jobs to add your domains to the DNS Zones. We have had this issue solved. However, in order to avoid this, we will also do an upgrade and will be moving to a new datacenter. Your files will be safe as we will do a backup of all our server files. Please note that your site will be down from a few minutes up to a whole day depending on the speed the internet will propagate your domains. This is normal and expected.

If you have any concern, please send a support ticket.

Till then,

Jamtraxx Solutions Team

How to get more traffic to your site

October 15th, 2008 0 Comments

So your site is built and gets a few hundred visitors, but it still have yet to control any major keywords. You've tried everything you can think of. You tried writing about them, using SEO headlines, and even tried pimping the pages out to your friends and colleagues. Bloggers and website owners hit walls just like runners and dieters. The trick is to keep pushing yourself harder. This happened to even the most successful websites on the net today, but it didn't just happen after the first few hundred visitors. The same snag came at 2,000 and again at 10,000.
